Lukla-Airport

This Everest Mini trekking starts and ends in Lukla after 45 minutes mountain flight from Kathmandu. The trail goes up to Jorshalle along with the Dudhkoshi River via Phakding and Monjo. You need to spend one night in Phakding and next day you will be reaching Namche. You need not stay an extra day in Namche for acclimatization in this trek because of the low altitude.This trek provides a chance to meet the charming Sherpa people, understand the affection of Sherpa Culture, savour local cuisine, and witness the grandiosity of the mighty Himalayas.

The major highlights of this trek is the stunning view of Himalayas including Mount Everest  – world’s highest mountain and Mount Ama Dablam – the beautiful mountain, Sherpa Village, exciting Mountain Flight,  Lukla Airport-the world’s dangerous airport, lush green valley, rhododendrons and magnolia forest, Namche Bazar – the biggest town in Everest Region.

The final destination of Everest Mini Trekking is Khumjung Village; this is the Sherpa village above Namche. There is also another small village which is named as Khunde. These two Sherpa villages with stone walls separate stony meadows which have stunning views on all sides. The main place of the Kunde Village is Kunde Hospital and this hospital is maintained by the Himalayan Trust. The main objective of this hospital is to treat the local people but it also provides medical health services to the trekkers. Khumjung is the largest village in the Everest (Khumbu) Area and this lies at the foot of the holy peak Khumbila. Khumjung School is another place to visit in Khumjung.

A day or two spent at Namche for acclimatization can be used to hike to nearby Sherpa villages like Khunde and Khumjung. The hikes will be rewarded with a chance to meet the charming people, experience the warmth of Sherpa culture, taste local cuisine, observe developmental milestones, and see the mountains from the fresh angle.

Accommodation

Luxurious deluxe hotels, as well as small teahouses, are available during this trek. You can choose the hotel as per your budget. Also, the government authorized trekking company gives the alternative for you. You can get western, Nepali, Indian and also continental food till  Namche. But, In Khumjung, the different varieties of cuisines may not be available.
